A Paradox Rift Elite Trainer Box (ETB) includes 9 booster packs from the Scarlet & Violet—Paradox Rift expansion, card sleeves, energy cards, and player's guides, along with dice and condition markers. The expansion introduces a "clash of ancient and future Pokémon," such as Roaring Moon ex and Iron Valiant ex,with the return of Technical Machines to expand battle strategies. The ETB may also include a full-art foil promo card, with different versions available from the regular release and the special Pokémon Center edition.

Ancient and future Pokémon: 
The set is centered around the clash between ancient Pokémon like Roaring Moon ex and Sandy Shocks ex, and future Pokémon like Iron Valiant ex and Iron Hands ex.

Technical Machine cards return, allowing players to grant their Pokémon new attacks. 
Terastallization: 
Some Pokémon ex, such as Garchomp ex and Mewtwo ex, can Terastallize to change their type.
